Smoke / Carbon Detectors

Examples of what a home inspector should be looking out for their clients safety. Having a smoke detector/carbon monoxide detector near or in each occupied bedroom is critical. Usually they only last about 10 years and should have their batteries replaced once a year. They now sell lithium ones where the battery can last up to 10 years. Pictures: to the left is a carbon monoxide detector only and to the right is a combo carbon and smoke detector.
